WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Fujikura Vista Pro is a flighted driver and fairway shaft, which means the weight you pick sets the flight: the 45, 55 and 60 series launch high with high spin to put carry back in your game, and the 65 and 75 series launch mid with mid spin for a flatter ball. It carries a multi-material bias core borrowed from what Fujikura learned building the Ventus, so a light shaft doesn't have to feel loose. This is the raw shaft: 45" uncut in the 45 series and 46" in the rest, 2.5" parallel tip, 0.335" tip diameter, in 13 weight and flex options from a 45 R3 to a 75 X. Nothing cut, nothing installed.

Not sure Vista Pro is your profile? Take the 2-Minute Shaft Quiz or see where it sits in The Fujikura Shaft Guide.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Hit it flat and have watched your carry shrink, and want a shaft that gets the ball up without a swing change
  • Need a ladies or senior flex from a tour brand. The 45 series comes in R3 and R2, and the 55 in R2
  • Want a Fujikura in the bag at a price that leaves room for a new grip and adapter
  • Build your own clubs or have a fitter who'll cut, tip and install it for you

Not the right fit if you...

  • Already launch it high and spin it up. The light series add more of both, and even the 75 is mid spin. The Pro Black is the low-mid spin choice
  • Want the tightest dispersion on off-center hits. That's the VeloCore+ core in the Ventus Blue
  • Need something lighter than 48 g. The Air Speeder starts at 40.5 g
  • Want it cut to length with the adapter and grip already on. Order the assembled Vista Pro instead

How It Plays

Pick the flight, then the flex. Most shafts give you one profile in several weights. The Vista Pro gives you two. Its 45, 55 and 60 series have a low to low-mid bend point and launch high with high spin, so a slower swing gets the ball in the air and keeps it there. The 65 and 75 move the bend point up to mid and mid-high, and the flight drops to mid launch, mid spin.

Light without the wobble. The multi-material bias core runs through the shaft and keeps the tip from twisting the way a plain lightweight shaft tends to. If you've tried a 50 g shaft before and found the misses went everywhere, this is the part that's different. You get the speed from the weight without giving up the face at impact.

Torque is generous on purpose. It runs from 6.4 degrees in the 45 R3 and R2 down to 4.5 in the 75 X. The high-torque light builds let the head square up for a golfer who doesn't release it hard, which is exactly who the 45 and 55 are for. Move up the weights and the torque tightens along with the flight.

Picking a weight and flex, and what to tip

  • The 60 and 65 weigh about the same. A 60 S is 65 g and a 65 R is 63.5 g. The number on the shaft is the flight family, not the exact weight. If you're choosing between those two, choose by launch: 60 for high, 65 for mid.
  • R3 is the ladies flex, R2 is senior. Both are only in the light series. A golfer who plays a ladies flex in a 45 g stock shaft should start with the 45 R3. An R2 player with a little more speed usually does better in the 55 R2 than the 45 R2, because the extra weight settles the head.
  • For a 3 wood, go up a series. A 55 R driver player lands in the 60 R or 65 R for the fairway. The 75 is the stiff-flex fairway weight for a golfer who plays a 65 in the driver.
  • Tip trimming. Fujikura's chart is 0" for a driver or 3 wood, 0.5" for a 5 wood, 1.0" for a 7 wood and 1.5" for a 9 wood, and every inch you tip is roughly one flex stiffer. Those are suggestions only, and the chart doesn't recommend tipping a driver or 3 wood at all. With only a 2.5" parallel section, don't tip past 1.5".
  • Adjustable hosel? You'll need an adapter for your head. The 0.335" tip fits every current driver and fairway adapter we carry.

How the Vista Pro Weights Compare

You're here: every series in this table is an option on this listing. Pick it from the dropdown above.

Series Launch Spin Bend Point Weights Flexes We Sell Raw Length
Vista Pro 45 High High Low 48 to 49 g R3, R2, R 45"
Vista Pro 55 High High Low (R2), low-mid (R, S) 56.5 to 58.5 g R2, R, S 46"
Vista Pro 60 High High Low-mid 63 to 65 g R, S 46"
Vista Pro 65 Mid Mid Mid 63.5 to 67.5 g R, S, X 46"
Vista Pro 75 Mid Mid Mid-high 75 to 75.5 g S, X 46"

Launch, spin and bend point are Fujikura's ratings. The same flighted idea runs through the rest of the line: the Vista Pro hybrid shaft (0.370" tip) and the Vista Pro iron shaft (0.370" parallel tip) match up with these woods for a full set. The whole brand lineup is in The Fujikura Shaft Guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which series should I start with?

Start with the shaft that's in your driver now. If it's a 50 g stock shaft and you want more carry, the 55 in the same flex is the natural move. If it's in the 60s and your flight is fine but you want a smoother, lighter feel, the 65 keeps the launch where it is. Only go to the 45 if you already play something under 50 g or you're coming from a ladies flex. Then pick the flex you play today. The Vista Pro isn't a stiff-playing shaft for its flex, so there's no need to drop down.

How does it compare to a Ventus?

The Ventus has the full VeloCore+ core, which is the multi-material bias core that keeps the tip from twisting on off-center hits. The Vista Pro borrows the bias core idea without the VeloCore+ build, and it's made to launch easier, not lower. If you're chasing dispersion with a fast swing, buy the Ventus. If you're chasing carry with a moderate swing, the Vista Pro is the better shaft for you.

Why is the 45 series an inch shorter?

That's how Fujikura makes it: 45" raw for the 45 series, 46" for everything else. It still builds to any normal driver or fairway length, since you trim the butt end to get there. The only time it matters is if you want a driver longer than stock, so check your target length before you cut. If you're building to 45" or shorter with the head on, you have room to spare.

Do I need an adapter to use this shaft?

Only if your driver or fairway has an adjustable hosel, which most do. The 0.335" tip fits every current adapter, and you can pick one up from our shaft adapters. If you'd rather not epoxy it yourself, the assembled listing includes the adapter and the install.

Does it work in a fairway wood?

Yes, and the high-launch series make a forgiving 5 or 7 wood for a golfer who struggles to get a fairway up off the deck. Most golfers go one series heavier in the fairway than in the driver. For a 5 wood and up, follow Fujikura's tip trim chart in the callout above and butt trim the rest to length.

Does this come with a grip or adapter?

No. This listing is the bare shaft, nothing installed, nothing cut. If you want it ready to screw into your head, order the assembled Vista Pro instead and choose your adapter, length and grip at checkout.
