The Graphite Design Tour AD IZ ("Into the Zone") is a high-launch, low-to-mid spin driver shaft made at Graphite Design's factory in Japan. It pairs a firm handle and medium mid with a firm-plus tip to get the ball up without adding spin. We sell it from the IZ-4 to the IZ-8, R2 through TX. It arrives assembled with your choice of adapter and grip, ready to attach to your driver or fairway wood head.

How It Plays
Graphite Design rates the IZ high launch, low-to-mid spin, with a mid kick point in every model. The IZ-5 through IZ-8 have a firm butt, medium mid and firm-plus tip. The lighter IZ-4 is softer throughout: medium butt, medium mid and soft tip.
Graphite Design uses Toray T1100G carbon fiber with Nanoalloy technology in the tip section for stability, feel and control, along with the 50-ton carbon fiber it uses across the Tour AD line. The firm-plus tip is what lets the IZ launch high while keeping spin down.

Frequently Asked Questions
What swing speed is the Tour AD IZ for?
Graphite Design's flex guide is based on driver swing speed: R2 for 71-85 mph, R1 for 86-95, SR for 92-98, S for 96-105, X for 105-109 and TX for 110 and up.
Why does the IZ-4 feel different from the heavier models?
Graphite Design builds the IZ-4 with a softer profile (medium butt, medium mid, soft tip) for lighter, slower swings. The IZ-5 through IZ-8 share the firm butt, medium mid and firm-plus tip.
How is the IZ different from the Tour AD DI?
Both are rated high launch. Graphite Design rates the DI low spin and the IZ low-to-mid spin, and the IZ's tip is rated firm-plus where the DI's is firm.
Can this shaft be built for a fairway wood?
Yes. Select the fairway wood option and your adapter when adding to cart. Fairway builds can be cut from 38.5" to 43.5" adapter tip to grip, or built to the standard length for your head.
What's included with this assembled shaft?
The shaft arrives with your OEM-compatible adapter tip installed (Callaway, Cleveland, Cobra, Krank, Mizuno, Ping, PXG, Srixon, TaylorMade, Titleist, Tour Edge or Wilson; see all shaft adapters) and your chosen grip installed.
