Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Want a lighter shaft to swing faster: the 3 series starts at 36 g
  • Want a high launch and plenty of carry: Mitsubishi rates the Vanquish high launch and mid+ spin
  • Like a stable feel in the hands with an active tip
  • Are a club builder or DIY builder who needs an uncut shaft

Not the right fit if you...

  • Already launch high or spin too much: Mitsubishi rates the Vanquish VV Green mid+ launch and mid spin
  • Have a fast, aggressive transition and want a heavy, stiff shaft
  • Want it ready to install in an adjustable driver or fairway: get the assembled Vanquish Blue

How It Plays

Built for speed. Mitsubishi compares the Vanquish to a fly-fishing rod: a stable handle with a very active tip section to speed up the clubhead. It lists six design points: Amorphous Wire Technology in the butt for more activity, Super Low Resin Content Prepreg for feel, 46 and 40 ton prepregs for strength and lower torque, a fortified tip section for stability, a Consistent Feel Design across weights and flexes, and tight weight and frequency tolerances.

High launch, mid+ spin. Mitsubishi rates the Vanquish high launch and mid+ spin with a mid/low kick point and a medium+ butt, soft mid and soft tip. Torque is 10.4 to 10.6 in the ultralight 3 series, 5.2 to 5.4 in the 4 series and 4.1 to 4.2 in the 5 series, as Mitsubishi publishes it.
