It has a 0.355" taper tip and comes in the 105 series (S or TX) and the 125 series (TX), from 106 to 125 g. It arrives assembled with your choice of hybrid adapter and grip, ready to attach to your adjustable head.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Play a utility or driving iron in an adjustable head and want the shaft ready to install
  • Play MMT shafts in your irons and want the same construction in your long iron
  • Want a heavier graphite build: 106 g to 125 g
  • Swing fast: the fitting chart we have puts the 105 S at 91 to 105 mph and both TX builds at 106 mph and up (driver speed)

Not the right fit if you...

How It Plays

Mitsubishi designed the MMT Utility Iron around the newer utility iron heads. It braids strands of 304 stainless steel into the shaft's prepreg layers; the mesh adds density and stability, so the composite walls can be thinner, which Mitsubishi says gives better feel and response with more consistent launch and spin.

Weight is the main choice. The 105 series weighs 106 g in S and 113 g in TX, and the 125 TX weighs 125 g. Torque is 2.9 on all three, with a mid kick point on the 105 S and mid-high on both TX builds.

Specifications

MMT Utility 105 TX 113 2.9 0.606 M/H
MMT Utility 125 TX 125 2.9 0.608 M/H

Material: graphite composite with stainless steel mesh | Tip diameter: 0.355" (taper) | Raw length: 40" (before assembly) | Trim from the butt only | M = mid, M/H = mid-high. Bend point is the kick point. No launch or spin rating is published for these builds

Frequently Asked Questions

What swing speed is the MMT Utility Iron for?

The fitting chart we have goes by driver swing speed: the 105 S at 91 to 105 mph, and the 105 TX and 125 TX at 106 mph and up.

Which hybrid adapters can you install?

We build it with Callaway, Cobra, Mizuno, Ping, PXG, Srixon, TaylorMade, Titleist, Tour Edge or Wilson hybrid adapters, set to your hosel setting. The shaft has a 0.355" taper tip, so some adapters need a shim to fit it. Tell us your head model when you order so we match the right adapter and length.

How long should my assembled shaft be?

Measure your current club from the bottom of the adapter tip to the end of the grip, with the head removed. The order form offers 37" to 42" adapter tip to grip, or uncut. The raw shaft is 40", so contact us if you're not sure.

Is the shaft tip trimmed?

No. It is a 0.355" taper tip shaft, so it is cut to length from the butt only.

What's included with this assembled shaft?

The shaft arrives with your OEM-compatible adapter tip installed (Callaway, Cobra, Mizuno, Ping, PXG, Srixon, TaylorMade, Titleist, Tour Edge or Wilson; see all shaft adapters) and your chosen grip installed. Club head is not included. Just attach to your utility iron or hybrid head and play. See full assembled shaft details.

Can I return an assembled shaft?

No. Each assembled shaft is built to your specs, so we can't restock it. Double-check your flex, length, grip and adapter before you order, and contact us if you'd like help confirming them.

Not sure which shaft is right for your game?

Text our shaft experts at (818) 473-9086 before you order. We've been fitting golfers since 1991 and are happy to talk through your swing speed, current shaft, and what you're trying to fix.
