How It Compares
The Ventus Pimento Edition is a limited-run cosmetic release — available in Blue and Black profiles only — so performance is identical to the standard Ventus VeloCore+ in whichever profile you choose. The Blue delivers mid launch and low-mid spin for the widest range of players, while the Black is the lower-launch, lower-spin option built for faster swing speeds who need maximum spin suppression. The Pimento Edition is the same shaft underneath — just one of the most collectible releases Fujikura has produced.
Not sure which Pimento profile fits your swing? Our Fujikura Shaft Guide covers the full lineup, the Fujikura Ventus Shaft Guide goes deeper on every Ventus profile, or compare specs side by side in the Fujikura Wood Shaft Comparison Table.
Questions & Answers

I know this is basically a limited-edition version of Ventus, so I’m trying to figure out if it’s just a cosmetic thing or actually something I’ll feel when I swing it. Does the Pimento edition perform exactly like the standard Ventus Blue or Black, or is there any difference in feel or stability? And with the VeloCore+ build, I’m wondering if it really tightens up dispersion on mishits or if it’s more subtle. At the end of the day, I just want to know if I’m paying for performance—or if I’m mostly paying for the limited-edition look and exclusivity.
The Pimento Edition Ventus with VeloCore+ does not have its own unique performance profile, but it performs exactly like whichever model chosen.
- If it’s a Ventus Blue Pimento, it will perform like a Blue (mid launch, mid/low spin)
- If it’s a Ventus Black Pimento, it will perform like a Black (lower launch, lower spin, more stable/stiff feel)
The “Pimento” part is strictly a limited-edition cosmetic, not a different performance design.
Additionally, the Velcore+ does add a slight improvement in stability and dispersion, but the overall profile (Blue vs Black) is what really determines how it performs.
