WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Fujikura Speeder NX Green is a low-launch, low-spin driver shaft built for golfers with swing speeds 95 mph and above who want the speed-oriented feel of the Speeder line with a stiff, penetrating ball flight. The lowest-launching, lowest-spinning profile in the Speeder NX family, the NX Green is the choice for faster swingers who need to bring the ball down without switching to the Ventus family. Powered by Variable Torque Core (VTC) technology. Arrives fully assembled with your adapter and grip installed. Plug it in and play.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Swing 95 mph or faster and need to reduce launch and spin
  • Prefer the lively, speed-oriented feel of the Speeder family over the stability-focused Ventus
  • Have tried the NX Gold and found you still needed lower launch and tighter spin
  • Want a penetrating, boring ball flight without committing to the Ventus TR Black's ultra-stiff profile
  • Play in windy conditions where a lower, more controlled flight is a regular advantage

Not the right fit if you...

  • Swing under 95 mph -- the NX Green will feel too stiff and under-loaded
  • Already launch too low or struggle to carry the ball -- the NX Violet is the better call
  • Want maximum face stability and off-center dispersion control -- the Ventus TR Black with VeloCore+ is better suited
  • Need a shaft that will be readily available for future replacement -- the NX Green is being discontinued; the NX Gold is the current low-launch option in the lineup

How It Plays

The NX Green shares the same Variable Torque Core (VTC) technology as the Gold and Violet -- Fujikura's proprietary zone-specific torque management that varies torsional stiffness along the shaft's core. What separates the Green is its overall bend profile: stiff tip, stiff mid, stiff handle -- the stiffest configuration in the Speeder NX family. That combination suppresses launch and spin from both ends of the shaft, producing a flatter, more penetrating ball flight than either the Gold or Violet.

Despite the stiff overall profile, the NX Green still retains the Speeder family's characteristic feel -- smoother and more fluid than the Ventus TR Black's ultra-stiff tip section. Where the Ventus TR Black feels locked and planted at impact, the NX Green feels controlled but connected. For players who need spin reduction but want to keep a sense of the shaft working through the swing, that distinction is meaningful.

The high bend point in the NX Green keeps the flex point near the handle, which resists early loading and keeps the club from kicking through prematurely. Combined with the stiff tip, this creates a particularly stable release through the impact zone -- useful for players with aggressive, fast tempos who tend to dump spin onto the ball through an early release.

Frequently Asked Questions

What swing speed is the Speeder NX Green designed for?

The NX Green 60-S suits swing speeds around 95-105 mph. The 60-X and 70-S fit 100-110 mph. The 70-X is for faster swingers above 108 mph who want the lowest possible launch and spin within the Speeder NX family. Below 95 mph the shaft will feel over-stiff and you'll under-load it.

How does the NX Green compare to the Ventus TR Black?

Both are low-launch, low-spin options for faster swingers but they're built on different philosophies. The Ventus TR Black uses VeloCore+ face stabilization with an ultra-stiff tip -- it's a stability-first shaft that prioritizes dispersion control above all else. The NX Green uses VTC torque management with a uniformly stiff profile -- it's a speed-first shaft that still delivers low launch and spin but with a more fluid, connected feel through the swing. If you want maximum face stability and the tightest possible dispersion, TR Black. If you want low/low performance with the Speeder's characteristic feel, NX Green.

Is it worth buying the NX Green if it's being discontinued?

Yes -- if it fits your game, the discontinuation doesn't affect performance. The shaft plays the same regardless of production status. The main consideration is future availability if you ever need a replacement: once current stock is gone, it's gone. If that's a concern, the NX Gold is the closest current alternative in the lineup for players who need lower launch and spin than the Violet delivers.

Can this shaft be built for a fairway wood?

Yes -- select the fairway wood option and your adapter when adding to cart. The low-launch, low-spin profile works well in fairway woods for faster swingers who want a penetrating ball flight from their 3-wood or 5-wood.

What's included with this assembled shaft?

The shaft arrives with your OEM adapter tip installed (TaylorMade, Callaway, Ping, Cobra, Titleist, Mizuno, PXG, or Wilson) and your chosen grip installed. Club head is not included. Just attach to your driver or fairway wood head and play. See full assembled shaft details.

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • I am a senior with a SIM2 9 degree adjustable driver, Tensei AV series 60 g R Flex shaft and Winn DriTac 2.0 midsize grip. I turn 80 this year; and play golf for about 6 months a year in the good weather months. I average about 2-3 games per week. My handicap index is 19; and my recently measured Driver swing speed is 80 mph. I seem to have lost about 15 yards of distance on my drives and would like to recoup that distance. Would a senior shaft assist? For example the Fujikura Speeder NX Green ? I also have a trigger finger on my right hand that interferes with my upper hand grip ( I am a Leftie) and am considering a jumbo grip. would that also assist?

    Hi Bob,

First off, happy early 80th birthday! Playing 2-3 times a week is fantastic, and we'd love to help you get those 15 yards back.

To answer your questions directly: Yes to both!

    1. The Shaft (Distance): At an 80 mph swing speed, your current 60g Regular flex shaft is simply too heavy and too stiff for you now. This makes it hard to launch the ball high enough to maximize carry distance. Moving to a lighter Senior flex (like the Speeder NX Green in a 40g or 50g "A-Flex" / Senior) will allow you to swing faster with less effort, helping you launch the ball higher and recoup that lost yardage.

    2. The Grip (Comfort): A Jumbo/Oversize grip is exactly what we recommend for players dealing with trigger finger or joint pain. Because the grip is thicker, your right hand won't have to close as tightly around the club. This significantly reduces tendon strain and pain. Sticking with a soft grip like a Winn Dri-Tac in Jumbo size will be incredibly comfortable for you.

When you are ready to order the assembled Speeder NX Green, just select the "Senior" flex option and choose a Jumbo grip from the dropdown menu, and we will build it perfectly for your SIM2!

Let me know if you need any help placing the order.

    Best regards,

    Jim Grips4Less

  • How does this compare to blue speeder nx v which I Have ?

Speeder NX Blue has a higher launch (and slightly higher spin) then the Speeder NX Green shafts. The Green also has a bit more feel/feedback.
