FULL DESCRIPTION
The Mitsubishi Diamana WB is a low launch, low spin driver shaft and one of the most tour-validated shaft profiles Mitsubishi has ever produced — built around the legendary White Board bend profile that has appeared in the bags of major champions for over two decades. It features a firm handle section for maximum stability and energy transfer, an ultra-firm mid section that resists deflection through the most aggressive downswings, and a moderately firm tip that keeps spin rates low and the ball flight flat and penetrating. Built with 80-ton DIALEAD pitch fiber in the butt section, high-modulus fiber angle plies to reduce torque and tighten dispersion, and Xlink Tech resin for enhanced responsiveness and durability. Best suited for swing speeds of 100 mph and above with a powerful, aggressive swing who want the flattest, most controlled ball flight in the Diamana lineup.
Compared to the Diamana PD (also low launch, low spin), the WB has a firmer overall stiffness profile — particularly through the mid section — making it the more demanding option for the fastest swing speeds who generate more deflection force during the downswing. Compared to the Diamana GT (low-to-mid launch, ultra-stiff handle but softer mid and tip), the WB produces a flatter trajectory with its firmer mid section, while the GT has a stiffer handle that handles aggressive loaders more specifically. Compared to the Diamana BB (mid launch, mid spin), the WB sits at the opposite end of the Diamana spectrum — if a fitter has confirmed you need to suppress launch and spin aggressively, the WB is the right choice within the Diamana family. Players who want the same low-launch White Board performance in a limited-edition blackout finish should also consider the Diamana WB Blackout Edition.

Who should play it? Golfers in search of a modern, pro-grade shaft to support a penetrating low launch, low spin drive.
Questions & Answers
Have a Question?
-
Does the WB profile perform better in modern high-MOI driver heads compared to low-spin LS heads?
Generally yes, and here's why.
High-MOI heads already have deep CG that promotes launch and forgiveness. The WB handles spin suppression while the head handles the forgiveness work. Good combination for a fast swinger who needs MOI protection on mishits but can't give up spin control.
LS heads are a different story. You're stacking a low-spin shaft on a low-spin head. For the right player — very high swing speed, naturally high spinner, consistently flush contact — that works. For anyone short of that profile, launch gets crushed and you lose more distance than you gain from the spin reduction.
-
How does the "White Board" profile in the WB differ from the previous Diamana TB or PD series?
If you've played the Diamana PD, these are in the same low/low family but they feel different. The PD is stiff and linear — it needs a big swing to really come alive. The WB is actually stiffer in the butt and mid, but has a slightly more active tip that gives it a more explosive, connected feel through impact. Fitters sum it up well: the WB is smoother and easier to load, the PD rewards pure speed.
-
With the Diamana WB, who is shaft not really good for?
This shaft is really built for high swing speed players who want low launch and low spin, so it's not a great fit for anyone who already struggles to get the ball up in the air or needs help with carry distance. Slower swing speeds and smoother tempo players will also likely find it too demanding. If someone needs more launch and spin to maximize distance, they'd be better off looking at the Diamana BB or RB instead.
-
How does the Diamana WB actually feel during the swing, does it stay smooth and controlled like a traditional Diamana?
Yes, very much so. It has that classic Diamana smoothness throughout but with more pop through the mid section than you might expect from a low launch shaft. Through the ball it feels planted and solid with great strike feedback. If anything the tip is more controlled than livelier blue profiles like the BB, so it's built to go straight and keep spin down rather than add flight. Smooth, powerful and very much a true Diamana.
-
How does the Diamana WB feel compared to something like Fujikura Ventus Black or other modern low-spin shafts?
The Diamana WB has that classic smooth Diamana feel, but with a stable, low launch/low spin profile. It’s smoother than something like Ventus Black, which tends to feel more firm. And since it’s low launch/low spin, it’s best for players with moderate to higher swing speeds, otherwise it may launch too low and reduce carry.
