One Unit. Drop-In Ready. Built to Your Specs.

Ping's adapter system is one of the most precise in the industry — and that precision carries through to how we build. Each shaft is tip-trimmed to the exact specification for your Ping model, epoxied with a genuine compatible adapter, and cut to your chosen playing length from adapter tip to grip cap. What ships to your door is a single complete unit that drops straight into your Ping hosel and locks with the same wrench Ping includes in the box.

We've been building custom shafts for golfers for over three decades. The process is the same whether you're upgrading a G430 Max or a G400 LST — precise, fast, and done right before it leaves our facility.

Frequently Asked Questions

Understanding Assembled Shafts

What exactly is an assembled shaft and why does it matter for Ping drivers?

A raw aftermarket shaft cannot be installed in a Ping driver straight out of the box — it needs a Ping-compatible adapter tip bonded to it first. The adapter is the small metal collar that clicks into your Ping hosel and locks with the included torque wrench. An assembled shaft from us has that adapter already epoxied, cured, and trimmed to your playing length before it ships. You receive one complete, drop-in ready unit with nothing left to do except seat it in your clubhead and torque it down.

Does assembling a shaft before it ships affect its performance in any way?

Not at all — the epoxy bond and tip preparation we use is identical to what a certified club builder or OEM facility would perform. The shaft performs exactly as the manufacturer intended. The only difference is that the work is done before delivery rather than after, which eliminates the labor cost and turnaround time you would otherwise pay at a pro shop or club fitting center.

Compatibility & Adapter Selection

Which Ping driver models are these shafts compatible with?

We carry Ping-compatible adapter tips for 35+ Ping driver and fairway wood models including the G430, G425, G410, G400, G30, G25, G, LST, LS-Tec, and SFT variants. Ping's adapter system is consistent across generations, which means a shaft built for a G430 will also fit a G410 or G400 using the same adapter. Select your exact Ping model from the adapter dropdown on any product page before ordering — if you don't see your model listed, text us at (408) 475-7570 and we'll confirm compatibility before you buy.

Can I swap an assembled shaft between different Ping driver heads?

Yes — because Ping uses a consistent hosel adapter system across their driver lineup, an assembled shaft built with a Ping-compatible adapter tip is interchangeable between supported models. If you upgrade your Ping driver head down the line, the shaft comes with you. The adapter seats and locks identically across G430, G425, G410, G400, and earlier G-series models.

Is it more cost-effective to buy an assembled shaft from you or have a pro shop build it?

Buying assembled from us is almost always the better value. Pro shop installation typically runs $30–$75 in labor on top of the shaft price, and the adapter tip is often an additional cost on top of that. Our assembled price includes the genuine Ping-compatible adapter tip and the complete build — epoxy, tip prep, and length setting — with no extra charge. The build quality is identical. The difference is the price you pay and the time you wait.

Ordering & Build Specifications

What do I need to specify when placing an order?

You will need to select your shaft model, flex, weight (where multiple options exist), Ping driver model from the adapter dropdown, playing length, and grip if you want one included. Playing length on a driver is measured from the top of the adapter tip to the end of the grip cap — most players play between 44.5 and 46 inches depending on their height and preference. If you are unsure of your current playing length, measure your existing shaft before ordering or text our team and we will help you work it out.

Can these shafts be built for Ping fairway woods as well as drivers?

Yes — most shafts in this collection are available assembled for Ping 3-wood, 5-wood, and 7-wood in addition to driver. Fairway wood builds are tip-trimmed differently than driver builds to account for the shorter playing length and adjusted flex profile, and we handle all of that during the build process. Just select your club type and playing length at checkout. Keep in mind that assembled shafts are built to your exact specifications and cannot be returned once the build has started.

Shipping & Turnaround

How quickly will my assembled Ping shaft ship?

The majority of assembled shaft orders ship within 1 to 3 business days. Orders received before 2pm PT on business days are queued for same-day build start wherever possible. If you are working toward a specific date — a tournament, a trip, a gift — text us at (408) 475-7570 before ordering and we will give you an accurate turnaround estimate based on current build volume.

What is the return policy on assembled shafts?

Because every assembled shaft is built to your exact specifications — specific adapter, playing length, flex, and grip — it cannot be returned once assembly has begun. A shaft trimmed and epoxied for your Ping G430 at 45 inches cannot be restocked or repurposed for another order. We strongly recommend using our shaft guide pages and texting our team with any fitting questions before placing your order. Raw unassembled shafts sold separately are covered by our standard return policy.
