Which Fujikura Ventus Shaft Is Right for Your Swing?

The Ventus lineup is built around the idea that different golfers need different performance windows — so instead of just offering weight and flex options, Fujikura built each model around a distinct launch and spin profile.

Ventus Blue is the most versatile starting point — balanced launch and spin, smooth feel, works across a wide range of swing types. Ventus Black is built to reduce launch and spin for stronger ball strikers who are fighting too much height or spin — but it's also the most overfitted shaft in the lineup, so it's worth making sure you actually need it before defaulting to it. Ventus Red is the higher-launch option with a softer tip section, built for smoother tempo players or anyone who needs more carry. Ventus TR adds a more reinforced, stability-focused construction through the mid and handle section — same general profile direction as the original, but with a tighter, more locked-in feel through impact.

VeloCore+ is the current technology platform running through all of these — a multi-material bias core that stabilizes the clubhead, tightens dispersion, and improves center-face contact over the original VeloCore.

Still figuring out where you fit? Our Fujikura Ventus shaft guide compares Ventus Blue vs Black vs Red vs TR side by side and matches each profile to swing speed, tempo, and ball flight tendencies.
