What exactly is the difference between a ribbed golf grip vs a round golf grip?
Great question. When we first started selling ribbed golf grips, more than 50% of the customers who purchased them from us, called as soon as they received their order, thinking we sent them the wrong grip. Here's why.
From the outside, a ribbed grip looks EXACTLY THE SAME as a round grip. This is because the rib column is actually on the inside of the grip. Only after the grip has been properly installed on a shaft, will the rib portion then protrude outward, where you can then see and feel it.
Some customers get confused when they receive their ribbed grip, and understandably so. Now you know what to look for when checking out a ribbed grip.
