Yes, using the traditional installation method would be fine, but the manufacturer recommends using the tapeless installation method for the best success.

HOW-TO REGRIP YOUR CLUBS
The recommended method of installing PURE Grips is with an air compressor machine + the Tapeless Installer tool. Watch video instructions here. IMPORTANT: If using air compressor method, you must use the Green Cup attachment to prevent damage to the grip.
