Herbie's One Putt Wedge is a hybrid design putting wedge with a white visual alignment aid positioned strategically on the rear flange of the club and facing up, so that you can easily align and pitch the ball with confidence.
That's because the One Putt Wedge's patented shaft is designed to automatically position your hands in a forward position. This produces a pendulum-like stroke, which is the simplest and mechanically correct way to strike a golf ball.
The putting wedge's patented shaft creates an extremely stable clubface at impact and resists twisting on off-center hits. This also means that shots struck on the heel or toe of the wedge will impart no side spin on the ball, for shots that fly then roll straight into the hole, or come to rest within tap-in range of the cup.
What does that mean for you? It's simple: no more miss-hit shots or the dreaded shank.
The leading edge of the Putting Wedge is designed so that you can first easily align your shot then pitch or chip the ball with confidence.
Herbie's One Putt Wedge utilizes a deep, wide, and flat sole, x-axis double bend shaft, hosel positioned behind the club face, symmetrical clubface shape, mallet putter technology applied to a wedge, and weighted rods. The One Putt Wedge features a Deep Sole that lowers the center of gravity for greater forgiveness and a more solid feel at impact. The Wide Sole maximizes perimeter weighting for stability and the Flat Sole allows the club to skim through the grass, sand and hardpan, and not grab or dig into the ground, as do many traditional wedges.
The X-Axis Double Bend Shaft promotes a pendulum-like stroke and solid contact, by keeping the hands ahead of the clubhead and the ball throughout the stroke. This is essential for a downward strike on the ball which results in good chipping, pitching and sand play.
The hosel of the One Putt Wedge is positioned completely behind the club's face, which allow the hosel and clubface to work independently of one another. This ensures a high MOI (Moment of Inertia) for maximum stability and forgiveness. Because the hosel and clubface are not joined at the heel of the club (as they are on traditional wedges) the grass on shots played from the deepest of rough will not become tangled in the hosel. Rather, the clubface will stay on the target line through impact for uncompromised and accurate shots.
